Weekend of Cross Country
Eve tackling the big hill in Under 9s XC at Charlbury, Oxfordshire Amongst a very busy weekend of races fro Club members (see Brian's upcoming weekly report), there were two cross country league events : the second Gloucester League meeting, in our own Cirencester Park on Saturday, plus on Sunday the first Oxford League event, in Charlbury. Juniors and Teens Cross Country
A rarity : a non-Juniors' female : Beatrice Wallis after her U15s race. On a calm Sunday morning, slightly misty but not too cold or hot, we had ten Under 11s (6 boys and 4 girls), six U13s (one boy and 5 girls), four U15s (3 boys and 1 girl), one U17 male and the coach running the first Gloucestershire League Cross-Country event at Tinkley Gate National Trust near Nympsfield, hosted by Stroud AC. Increasing mileage?
I don't know how many times I have said to someone starting a change in their training, "don't add more than 10% on distance per week". So I was quite surprised, when on my Instagram feed, appeared a Reel saying I was wrong!
