Chedworth Roman Trail - 10:30am 5th April 2020
Chedworth Roman Trail 2020 - Cancelled
We have thought long and hard, and after much deliberation, we have decided to cancel the Chedworth Roman Trail race on 5th April due to the escalating Covid-19 situation.
While we appreciate we are not the size of other races that have announced postponement over the past 24 hours, we are mindful that we still ask a large number of volunteers from our club to help facilitate this event.
Due to the interaction in registration and general gathering both before and afterwards, we are taking the advice and lead of other fell and trail races that have also taken this action.
We are not planning on rescheduling the event this year and refunds will be issued in due course.
We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we just want everyone to stay safe and healthy!
A 10 mile-ish single lap of scenic Cotswold countryside through Stowell Park, the Coln Valley, and close to the famous Chedworth Roman Villa. It is a challenging multi-terrain race that uses a variety of undulating tracks, footpaths, fields, and features a river crossing. Having been voted one of the best trail races in Gloucestershire, 97% of entrants would do the race again (Runnersworld.co.uk).
Note that we will not be accepting any Canicross entrants to the race.
Race Headquarters are at Chedworth Village Hall, GL54 4NQ
Race HQ is the start and finish location, Chedworth Village is just 6 miles North of Cirencester. Chip timing, parking, refreshments, limited showers, and toilets available. Race starts at 10:30am.
Awards to the first three overall male and female finishers; first veteran categories MV40 to MV70 and FV40 to FV70. Team and finishers awards.
