Kate Sackett travelled to Belgium at the weekend and proudly wore her GB kit to take part in the European Age Group Middle Distance Triathlon Championships.

Kate was very pleased to improve on her finish time from the event in Bilbao last year and was placed 5th overall in her 60-64 age group and was 3rd British finisher.
It is interesting to look at the results broken down to the individual disciplines. Whilst other competitors in her age category may have had slightly quicker swims and bike rides, Kate’s strong half marathon run was the quickest of the group.
Another brilliant performance from Kate.
