Storm Kathleen can't stop us....

This week three hardy CAC members were running the Exe to Axe race. This comprised 22 miles of mud and hills covering 5000ft of ascent along muddy, windy coastal trails from Exmouth all the way to Seaton! Well done to Lara, Jo and Jill for completing this in tough conditions! Rich Hurdle (a previous CAC member) made a special trip up from Cornwall and ran with them reportedly providing encouragement up the hills!

This week was also the ever-popular Highworth 5 mile race. The very blustery conditions provided a distraction for the runners and something to battle against. Brecht was first home for the club in 32mins, followed by Paul Edrich, Nicola Wood then Gordon and Rachel Jones.

This week's Parkruns consisted of Ollie Campbell coming in second at Southwick Country parkrun, Rory Brown (a junior member), Pam and Ruth at Cirencester, Dave Moss at Marlborough as well as Paul Timms and Alan & Rachel McAdam at Tetbury Goods Shed.

Sneaking into the report is a race from last week......Amanda Naylor ran the Gloucester 10k which she reported as a fantastic, flat, fast 10k through the centre of Gloucester and around the docks. She ran her fastest ever time over the distance which she attributes to all the great training sessions with the Improvers group!
