Alice receiving the Cup from Club Chairman, Luke Campbell at the Club's 40th Anniversary Celebration

At Wednesday 16th’s training session I presented to Alice Averies the 2025 Juniors Achievement Award, this time with the plaque, she gets to keep.

Alice won this Award because she attends training regularly, and as a consequence is improving her performances, and importantly she participates in events and meetings, so representing the Club.

We will continue to assess and present the Juniors Achievement based on :

  1. training attendances (based on number of measured performances),

  2. performance improvement in the U11 Quadkids events (75m sprint, 600m, Standing Long Jump and Vortex) plus other physical preparation / conditioning / fitness based measures we make, e.g. Counter Movement Jump.

  3. Participation in Club selected events, e.g. Sizzler, Low Key Opens and the XC, etc.

NB we're using the number of measured performances this year, because taking a register and then copying it into a spreadsheet was wasting too much time. As we make measurements of the Juniors activities fairly frequently it is a good enough surrogate.

So you know what to do for your Junior to be in with a chance of winning 2026's Juniors Achievement Award.
