Cotswold Way Relay triumphs

Cotswold Way Relay – 2020 virtual version - Ollie Pritchard writes:

I was so pleased when we found a way to do the Cotswold Way Relay around the Covid situation. We were given the whole month of ‘July’ to complete the entire 103 miles of the Cotswold Way from Chipping Camden to Bath. Cirencester AC had the chance to put two teams together and to do it as a virtual Relay.

As team manager, I want to give a huge thanks to everyone who took part and helped me. with the challenge. It was my first year of organising a team together for Cirencester and, to make matters worse, I was no way near Cirencester during lockdown.

Members of both teams mostly organised themselves – frequently running in pairs to make the navigating and getting to and from the start and finish of each leg easier. As a result Cirencester AC ended up with a time of 19:00:23 for the White Hares and for Red Hares a great time of 13:25:57.

White hares - Simon Campbell, Ross Swain, Lara Thompson / Paul Edrich, Tom Morgan / Karen Higuera, Jo Roberts / Rachel Ranger, Kate Sackett /Andy Kilby, James Widdowson, Dorian Matts /Andy Hindson, Nick Wall and Liza Darroch / Rupert Chesmore.

Red hares - Aaron Willis, Graham Blackburn, Tommasso Migliuolo, Tom Purnell, Rich Hurdle, James Thomas, Rob Brown, Alex Banks, James White and Oliver Pritchard.
