There's always a parkrun!!
The indefatigable Barbara Thomas was the only member to find a race this weekend so let’s hope she enjoyed running 10 miles around the roads of Hullavington in the unfamiliar winter sunshine. Her time of 1.40.20 brought her home in 136th place.

In the absence of other events, members came out in strong support of local parkruns. Fastest time of the week was by Ollie Campbell (JW15-17) who won at Chippenham in 17.49. The club packed the top ten at Cirencester with David Musgrove 3rd, Ian Barrett 4th and Mark Sysum 5th. They were followed by Lee Lawrence and Kate Sackett both under 26 minutes and Paul Timms, Rachel Ranger and Jos Randall who were all sub 28. Ruth Fulford, Sharon O’Keeffe and Nina Lawrence followed and Cathie Cowell returned to her familiar place as sweeper. At Swindon Lydiard new but regular Brecht Grieten was 30th in 19.42 with Tom Purnell 34th in 20.04 clipping at his heels. David Moss stretched his legs for a change to run in 23.02 with Keith Firkin only 15 seconds behind. Barbara Thomas finished strongly too. At Tetbury Rachel McAdam proved how well she is running now by conceding a mere 40 seconds to husband Alan and son Jacob ran well coming 9th in at time of 20.03 at Colchester. Finally Thomas McNally was at Ashton Court in Bristol.
