Cross-country club champs 2025-26

As covered in Dorian's news item on 18th February, the last of the Glos county series of XC races took place at Pittville Park in Cheltenham on 14th February.

The 4 races in the series were the fixtures for the club XC championship and were

October 12th - Tinkley Gate near Woodchester

November 1st - Cirencester Park

December 14th - Bath University

February 14th - Pittville Park, Cheltenham

No ladies took part in any of the races, so the club shield/cup won't be awarded for this year. (For comparison only one lady ran last season).

Only 3 men competed this season - last year we had 5 who ran more than one race.

James Thomas and Aaron Willis ran in the senior men's races and Dorian Matts in the V65 race. Their placings within their age category were

James 4th/5th/- overall 2nd

Aaron - /4th/5th/- overall 16th

Dorian 9th/10th/9th/7th overall 6th

James Thomas therefore wins the club championship - congratulations to him, also for his silver in MV40.
