County Points Scored

A small group from the club ventured to the Forest of Dean last Tuesday to take part in the Blaisden 10k. Hosted by Forest of Dean AC, this low key race was the latest in the county road race series.

Brian Harris was one of them and described the course as an “undulating small country lanes course, definitely not a PB prospect.” But Race HQ was at the local pub so there was an opportunity for a sociable chat, drink and burger with others afterwards.

In a small field of just 117 finishers, we had some great age group placings and points scored.

With just three races to go in the series Brian is currently leading the MV60 age group. Barbara is third in the FV65 category and Ruth and Liza are first and second respectively in their FV70 group.

Not an open race, but James Widdowson enjoyed testing himself over the 5k distance on a hot evening. The Hullavington Fun Run fundraiser by Dyson was organised by a group including our very own Luke Campbell and raised valuable funds for Alzheimer's Research UK.
