Club Report - 19 May 2019

West Country Hilly Ultra 50 miles Minehead Trail

Run of the week was from Rob Brown who completed 50 miles in 9 hours 02

minutes. Rob led for the first 20 miles of the West Country Hilly Ultra but

perhaps should have saved slightly more in the tank for the two leg sapping

climbs over Dunkery Beacon and back along the coastal path between

Bossington and Minehead. A wrong turn and a total 8309ft of ascent took their

toll and Rob was passed by three others before managing to pull one back to

finish in an impressive third place.

Official results not available at time of going to press.

minute behind. Kate Sackett knocked 4 minutes from her previous time but had

to be content with second in her (WsupVet) age group.
