Bill Leggate sets an new V40 club record at the fast Speedway Race

Missed from last week and again – so sorry Bill – a fine V40 Club Record from Bill Leggate running 10km in 33.21. The Speedway 10km in Chepstow is well known as a fast race and to see a time of 33.21 bringing Bill in as 59th goes to prove the point. Some of us can smile at the thought of Bill be one third of the way down the field but all of us can be wowed by his time.

1 Omar Ahmed (Birchfield Harriers) 28.58 – course record 59 Bill Leggate (Cirencester AC) 33.21 – club V40 record 183 finished.

Also missed in the earlier report – The Timms went to Lliswerry to run an eight mile road race. Paul ran strongly to finish in just over the 60 minutes and Sam took a little longer but then she had run a parkrun the day before.
