Last weekend was not only one full of fantastic achievements for the runners but as the results show Chris Miller excelled in the Lakesman 2021 (Full).
Lakesman is a full distance (2.4m/112m/26.2m) triathlon taking place in and around Keswick. Chris finished in a time of 9:33.01 in 6th place - https://www.resultsbase.net/event/5042/results/3060618
Chris's entry was deferred from 2020 (entered June 2019), so it has been a long time coming! The swim was in Derwent water, the bike route goes out to the east coast of Cumbria (avoiding the mountains), and then the run is around Keswick (5 laps). Chris can thoroughly recommend the event; it is really well organised and there is great support from travelling spectators, tourists and the local community. Despite the gloomy forecast earlier in the week, it was warm and sunny on the day which made spectating a lot easier, although not so much fun for the participants during the run!
