A week of two halves

This week saw Gordon & Rachel Jones run the Battersea Park half-marathon. Jo Musk was also running the Dorney Lake half-marathon completing it in a time of 1 hour 35 minutes despite experiencing a hamstring issue which reared its head after only a mile, forcing her to rein back her efforts rather than chasing a PB.

Cirencester Parkrun this week was reportedly far less wet and boggy but still very muddy and not for the faint hearted. There were 5 CAC souls brave enough to take on the less-than-ideal conditions again this week - Tom, Jos, Pam, Kirsty and Amanda. Nice to see frequent training buddies Kirsty and Amanda finishing so close together, and a special commendation to Pam who achieved a 72.64% age grading and was third overall in her category. Ruth meanwhile ran in a field of almost 800 runners at Eastville Parkrun. Martin Croucher was at Seven Fields, and former junior Luke Buck was at Didcot parkrun whilst Jo Roberts was running at Rondebosch Common Parkrun in South Africa, no doubt experiencing fairer weather than our UK runners!
