The committee met last and agreed on the races that will count towards next year's Road Championship awards.
You can find full details on this website page https://www.cirencesterac.com/road-racing-fixtures
As usual your best 6 scores from 11 races plus any road marathon will count, with 20 points for the first finisher, 19 for 2nd etc.
We have chosen a mixture of races that are or aren't in the county road race series, and tried to include a range of distances up to half marathon.
New this year, and to include a 5k, we invite you to do one or more of the Heddington series of 3 races in mid-June, mid-July and/or mid-August. If you do more than one of these we will compare your best time to those of other club runners.
We've swapped out the Stroud Half for the new Cirencester Half as the number of club runners doing Stroud has fallen in recent years, and a strong visible club presence on our own doorstep (we fielded 17 in the inaugural race) would be a fitting last fixture.
We have tried to minimise clashes/near misses with other events such as cross-country, but it's almost impossible these days, so apologies if you can't run as many of the events as you'd like.
Finally, 3 of the races are already open for entries, and Fairford 10k is expected to open in a few days time, so over to you to plan your racing diaries for next year.
