A fairly short report this week starts with news of Howard Ewan enjoying the very scenic Uffington White Horse Gallop, a trail half marathon hosted by the White Horse Harriers club.
The circular route starts and finishes on The Ridgeway and takes in the National Trust sites of Ashdown House and White Horse Hill with 1200 feet of ascent to contend with along the way.
Howard reports that it was “an absolutely excellent event, very well organised and marshalled with a friendly vibe. It was a superb course with top notch views. I was very happy to enjoy a social run with a friend and would recommend that fellow club members consider it as one to do next year.”

In parkrun news this week, Nea Sneddon-Jenkins had an excellent run at Cardiff where she further improved on her recent new 5K PB with a 19.47 finish.
Dorian Matts seems to be making a habit of parkrunning, this time whilst on holiday in Suffolk. The Sizewell parkrun takes place in the shadow of the UK’s largest operational nuclear power plant. Dorian was pleased with his 26.36 time and 1st place in his V60 age group.
Paul Timms ran his best time yet at Tetbury.
There was a great club turnout at Cirencester this week where Brecht Grieten took second place with his best course time. Wendy Nicholls was first female finisher in a superb 20.48. Lorna Harris, with excellent water carrier support from Brian, ran a new 32.55 PB. Jo Musk ran with son Brecon who matched his best ever time.
